On February 8th, 2012 Mrs. Stram came into room 22. The reason she came in was because another student, Jekay wrote her a letter in which she invited Mrs. Stram into our class. Mrs. Stram wanted to talk about her trip to South East Asia.
In South East Asia she went to Thailand and Cambodia. There are two different reasons she went. She went to Thailand because she was born there and wanted to visit. She went to Cambodia because she wants to help girls in safe houses.
People go to safe houses because they get “tricked and trapped”. “Tricked and trapped is when people trick you and then trap you in to being a slave.
In Thailand she went to the Great Palace and went to the forest where she grew up. She also went to the shops and markets. She visited her brother who runs a school that teaches people how to speak English. She also visited the midwife that delivered her.
Mrs. Stram and her husband have two children, Dayln and Kayla. Mrs. Stram and her husband adopted Kayla 16 years ago. Kayla was born in Bangkok, Thailand. On this trip the family visited Kayla's foster parents. She lived with them when she was first born, before she moved to the United States to live with the Strams. Kayla enjoyed her visit.
I want to go to Thailand some time to study the culture and try new things.
