Speeches were given, letters or recommendations were read, debates happened, voting took place and when it was all said and done our new class President Aubrie H. and Vice President Hallie D. were elected.
Spirit Day. Wear your team colors. There were lot of Duck fans, one very proud Beaver fan, and some Creswell Zag fans. Also, international representation for Chelsea, Chivas, and the Aussie Nat. team.
Rodeo Man, Wayne White visits room 22 By Jessie H. On March 15, 2012 we had a classroom visitor. His name is Wayne White. Wayne was born on March 8, 1952. He is a rodeo announcer. Wayne dressed up Christian in chaps, a cowboy hat, and boots with spurs. Every summer Wayne goes to the Eugene Pro Rodeo. He has been the rodeo announcer for 25 years now. His daughter is the person who plays all the music. His wife is the rodeo secretary. Wayne rode bulls for 10 years after he graduated in high school. In high school, and when he was younger, his only dream was to be a cowboy.
Wayne has his own recording studio in his house! He has two big speakers and three microphones. Also a computer with 4,000 songs on it!
At the rodeo they have a mechanical bull. They also have a clown and food, and many other things too.
When Wayne was here we went outside and Wayne brought his whip. Hallie held a flower and Wayne cut the stem clean off. He also gave us pictures. The pictures were of Wayne and he signed them. Everyone got one! Even Sean. We also got a calendar. I think Wayne is the best visitor yet! Here is why: Wayne is cool, nice, and funny! I really enjoyed having Wayne come in! I’m sure the whole class did too!
Brandi Wittenborn, Athletic director visits room 22 By Logan P. Brandi Wittenborn came in on the 9th of March 2012. She was born on October 3rd 1974. She is 37. She has 6 sisters and 1 brother. She is in the middle of them. Her favorite sport is track.
Brandi has been athletic director for 4 years. She has to make sure that they get refries at games and make sure they have ice so when players get hurt they ice it. Once she had a middle schooler “moon” the other team’s crowd when Creswell won! She had to kick him out for the season.
She has to kid’s one boy and one girl the girls name is Taylor and the boys is Jessie. She used to live in Texas but then she moved to California. I had fun when she came in and I hope to see her soon.
Photos by Aubrie. The class receives behavior scores from their music teacher, Mr. Telfer. The highest score a class can get is a five. The students and I made a deal at the beginning of the school year that when the class had received it's 35th 5, I would stop trimming my beard. Then, when they received their 40th 5, I would shave my beard however they wanted. Well, they have 42, 5s now. They have never received anything but 5s. Today was "wacky hair day," school wide. so I shaved my beard, well, most of it. Some students were scared, many said, "you look different," 5 said I looked like the Wolverine, and a few said I shouldn't have shaved it.
