Have you ever talked to a Chef that ran his or her own business? Room 22 got a chance to when 30 year old Heidi Tunnel came in. She visited for an hour and the class enjoyed her visit. She brought good stories and cupcakes too!
Heidi Tunnel loves to cook. “I don’t know what I would do without cooking.” Heidi Tunnel said when a student in room 22 asked her about not cooking. Heidi Tunnel won the Eugene Iron chef competition even when she was pregnant! She said that she guessed nobody expected the girl to win because there are barely any girl chefs. She said that she won by a lot too!
Heidi Tunnel brought in chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. She has huge blenders that she could almost fit one of us in it too! She also has this huge frying pan that could fit about 120pounds in it!
I’m really glad that she came in. It really made me realize how hard some people work.
Thanks Heidi!
